Murphy, Texas (Dec. 16) The Murphy Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the hiring of Ty Lake as Executive Director, effective December 1, 2025.
Mrs. Lake brings a wealth of experience in community leadership, business engagement, and organizational growth to her new role. Most recently, she served as Senior Marketing Manager at St. Andrew Methodist Church, in Plano, Texas, where she directed communications and outreach strategies across digital and traditional platforms, strengthening connections with members and the community at large.
Prior to that, Lake was a driving force in McKinney, Texas, where she partnered closely with local businesses to strengthen the downtown economy. As Main Street Director and Director of the McKinney Performing Arts Center, not only was she responsible for events and concerts, she also worked closely with merchants, restaurateurs, and entrepreneurs to create programs that boosted foot traffic, expanded tourism, and supported small business growth. Her leadership was instrumental in building sponsorships, securing donations, and expanding volunteer networks.
Lake’s impact extended further advancing initiatives that encouraged dialogue between city leaders, residents, and business owners. This role underscored her ability to bridge civic priorities with business needs, ensuring that economic development strategies reflected the voices of the community.
Luke Trahan, Chairman of the Murphy Chamber of Commerce, stated, “Ty’s background demonstrates a rare combination of vision, collaboration, and results. From strengthening business economies to leading marketing and engagement efforts to organizing special events, she has consistently elevated organizations and communities. We are thrilled to welcome her leadership to Murphy.”
“I am honored to join the Murphy Chamber of Commerce,” said Lake. “My career has been dedicated to building vibrant communities through partnerships, engagement, and innovation. Murphy is full of opportunity and success stories, and I look forward to working with our members to grow, strengthen partnerships, and celebrate the unique character of this wonderful community.”
