Road Rally
June 23, 2020
The Murphy Historical Society Road Rally starts at Murphy City Hall on the east side of the building near the flag poles at promptly 6:30 pm on Thursday, June 23, 2020. We will visit all the state and county markers in Murphy. Happy History Hunting!!!
Rules:
· Be safe—social distancing and masks highly suggested
· Designate a driver
· Wear sturdy, close-toe shoes as there will be some walking required
· Use spray for mosquitoes and chiggers and ants.
· Photographs will be taken at each stop; bring your camera; post on FB

1. State marker for Murphy Community (206 N. Murphy Rd.)
2. State marker for Murphy First Baptist Church (800 N. Murphy Road)
3. State medallion for McMillen Cemetery (right side of McMillen Road)
4. State marker for Murphy School (205 N. Murphy Road)
5. County marker for Murphy Depot (railroad track SE corner N. Murphy Rd near Tuesday Morning)
6. County marker for Murphy Store (Murphy and FM 544 –west side of Cristina’s)
7. County marker for Dublin School (east on FM544; in front of 619 544 Tot to Teens)
8. County marker for Herring-Hogge Cemetery (S. Murphy Road and Skyline)
9. State medallion for Herring-Hogge Cemetery (S. Murphy Road and Skyline)
10. State marker for Murphy Family Cemetery N. (Maxwell Creek and Tom Clevenger)
11. County marker for William Andrew Murphy (North Maxwell and Tom Clevenger)
